Our Service

Norton Canes Primary Academy operates a successful Governor managed Breakfast and After School Club facility during term time for pupils at the school. This facility takes place in our exclusive block located near the Burntwood Road entrance and benefits from access to secure fenced outdoor areas enabling children to take part in outdoor activities, weather permitting.

The Club is staffed by a highly experienced, qualified and caring team under the supervision of our Extended Schools Coordinator Miss Wright. Overall responsibility for the provision is taken by Mrs Beth Hadley Headteacher.

Breakfast Club

The Breakfast club operates from 7.30am until 8.45am, when children are escorted to their classrooms. Children are welcome to bring their own breakfast to eat. There are a range of activities available to the children including board games, construction toys and arts & crafts.

After School Club

After school club runs from 3.15pm until 6.00pm. Ducklings (aged 3 and above), Nursery and Reception children are collected from their classrooms at the end of the school day and escorted to the club. Pupils in Key Stage 1 and 2 are met at a central point in the main school building and again are escorted to the club. Assorted activities are available to all children. The After School Club staff are on hand to listen to your child read or assist with homework if required. Children are welcome to bring their own snack or are able to order a Sunshine Club grab bag (this needs to be done when booking sessions).

Please ensure your child is collected promptly at the end of the session. A late collection fee may be imposed if you are late collecting your child and repeated late collection will result in your child’s place being with-drawn.

Booking Sessions

All sessions must be pre booked via our Piota survey by the previous Friday lunchtime and full payment must also be made, in advance, via Parent pay. Payment is also welcome via electronic voucher through employer voucher schemes. We are registered with several providers including the Government Childcarechoices, however please contact the school office to confirm those currently available. 

• Breakfast Club - £5.00 per session 
• After School Club - £8.50 per session (grabs bags are an addtional £2.45 and must be pre ordered via Piota).
