PE

Pupils in Year Four have PE each Tuesday and Thursday.  Please ensure that pupils bring their PE kit (white t-shirt, black shorts and trainers) with them on their PE days and that earrings have been removed.  We aim to have PE outside as much as possible pupils are also encouraged to wear tracksuit bottoms and a warm jumper over the top of their usual kit.

Our Curriculum - Autumn

Year Four will take part in five amazing mini-missions in the Autumn Term.

Augustus and his Smile (Narrative)

Children immerse themselves into jungle life and explore a range of themes using their five senses. They create jungle themed art alongside writing their own setting descriptions.

Pond Patrol (Scientific Reports)

Children discover and explore pond life by completing various written and physical tasks. Our children hike over to Chasewater and pond dip in the fresh water using nets and scientific tools.

Children examine a range of foods and which animals will eat them. Who is the top of each food chain?

Veni, Vidi, Vici (Narrative)

Children experience what it is like to be a roman soldier and a roman civilian. Which would you prefer?

Christmas

At the end of term, we complete a whole-school Christmas mini-mission. We keep this is as a surprise for our children so check here soon for further updates!

Home Learning

In addition to learning in school, we also provide each year group with access to programs that they are able to access at home. In Year Four, we ask children to be reading to their parents/carers regularly, accessing Time Tables Rockstars to practice their times tables and that they access My Maths at least once a week. All of these activities should be completed weekly to support our children with their learning.
