The children learn about hospitals and healthcare, learning about the lives of Florence Nighingale and Mary Seacole. Year 1 had a visit from a modern day nurse to compare similarities and differences. The children loved the story ‘Hospital Dog’ by Julia Donaldson and created their own stories and poems about their own hospital dog.
