What does PE in Nursery look like?
Pupils in Nursery have PE each Wednesday and Friday. Please ensure that pupils come to school in their PE kit (white t-shirt, black shorts and trainers) and that earrings have been removed. We aim to have PE outside as much as possible pupils are also encouraged to wear tracksuit bottoms and a warm jumper over the top of their usual kit.
We love outdoor learning!
We love looking at books!
Nursery loved our Prostrike event!
In Nursery we have fun and learn through ‘messy play’!
Messy play is extremely important for a child’s cognitive and physical development. It provides children with an exciting tactile and sensory experience that inspires their curiosity, allows them to explore the world around them and enhances their learning, language and creativity.
So, we may come home a little messy but it means we have learnt a lot!
Let's Read!
Sharing stories over and over again is very important for Nursery children. Repeating words, a concept or a skill allows children to form an understanding and even attempt to imitate it. You will often hear young children retelling their favourite stories, imitating the readers voice for characters and exciting parts of the story. Let’s share our stories with great enthusiasm and expression because this is how we become brilliant readers!
